The first China Plastics Fair was held in Luqiao, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province in September 2001. This will be the first major gathering of the Chinese plastics industry in the new century. Taizhou is known as the hometown of moulds and the kingdom of plastic products. The plastics industry consumes more than 1 million tons of raw materials annually, and its sales volume exceeds 12 billion yuan.
