大白菜软腐病是一种细菌性病害。在南昌地区每年秋季常引起大白菜基部腐烂,此病在发病菜地能迅速传染扩大为害,是目前大白菜的主要病害之一。 1984年10月18日在我所一块“无公害”的试验田里调查,品种是“青杂中丰”,大白菜生长进入苞心中期。这块田发病很严重,发病率为69.76%,病指51.8,已经死亡拔蔸的有16.8%,只有13.42%还未发病。自发病开始到10月18日止;叶面喷雾200ppm农用链霉素7次,同时还用800倍的敌克松药水灌蔸1次,都没有起到防治作用。
