儒勒·凡尔纳是法国著名小说家,被誉为“近现代科幻小说之父”。他写了六十多部科幻小说,总标题为“在已知和未知的世界漫遊”。他的大部分作品已被翻译为中文,深受中国读者的喜爱。我们注意到,他在《八十天环游世界》、《海底两万里》等多部作品中写到了中国。此外,他的小说《一个中国绅士的遭遇》,直接描写了中国人的生活故事。本文试图从凡尔纳对中国风物的描写、对中国人形象的刻画,以及对中国人生命哲学的阐发等几方面探讨凡尔纳的中国文化书写。
Jules Verne is a famous French novelist, known as “the father of modern science fiction”. He wrote over 60 science-fiction novels, with a total title of “roaming around the world known and unknown.” Most of his works have been translated into Chinese and deeply loved by Chinese readers. We noticed that he wrote about China in many works such as “Traveling Around the World in 80 Days” and “Tens of Miles in the Sea”. In addition, his novel The Encounter of a Chinese Gentleman directly describes the Chinese life story. This article attempts to explore Verne’s Chinese cultural writing from the aspects of Verne’s description of Chinese style, the portrayal of the Chinese image, and the elucidation of Chinese life philosophy.
