香川不只因为是日本面条的发祥地,面条特别好吃,还因为有世界上最长的海上大桥——濑户大桥,把四国岛与本土联结起来,所以,凡是日本各地的不同料理,在香川的高松市都可吃得到。离开香川前,真部正敏教授在“渭水苑料理店”请我们品尝了日本著名的“怀石料理”。 “怀石”,故名思义,就是在怀中放一块石头,并非吃的食物。据真部正敏教授讲,古代日本苦行修禅的僧人,每天只进食一餐,在严寒的冬天,常常饥寒交迫,难以忍受。于是有人想出一个办法,将一块烧热的石头用布包起,放在腰腹之间。因石头散热很慢,源源不断释放出余热,不仅驱走了寒冷,也巧妙地产生抑制饥饿感的作用,使苦行僧不为饥寒所苦,能够静修入禅。日本古书中也有“怀抱温石,饥感微温,忍受空腹”的记载。大约到了500年前的东山时代,日本京都将其发展
