To study the relationship between eating nuts and reducing overall mortality and mortality from specific illnesses such as cancer, researchers from Harvard collected data from approximately 115,000 male and female participants for more than 30 years. The study showed that excluding other predictors of death, consuming at least seven nuts a week (including Californian California) could reduce overall mortality by 20%. Diet nuts can also reduce death from cancer, heart disease and respiratory disease.
