在中国现代小说史上 ,鲁迅的小说以其格式的特别与表现的深切实现了我国小说从传统到现代的转变 ,正如他是我国现代乡土小说、历史小说、抒情化小说的开拓者一样 ,鲁迅同样也是中国现代家族小说的创始人。虽然他的小说《狂人日记》、《离婚》、《祝福》等不是我国现代家族小说的典型 ,但这些作品都不同程度地涉及到了家族制度、封建礼教的问题 ,对儒家伦理道德的虚伪、害人的一面进行了批判性的解构 ,为三、四十年代我国家族小说的发展与繁荣提供了可资借鉴的思想资源 ,他对女性不幸命运与精神悲剧的关注、对封建家庭叛逆知识分子形象的成功塑造为此后我国现代家族小说的不断走向成熟奠定了坚实的基础
