从天才少年成长为知名诗人,小海“马拉松式”的诗歌创作历程使得他的创作不囿于诗歌流派与固定文本,具有了一种鲜见的标本意义。论文从当代诗歌的流变及代际更迭出发,对于诗人小海长达三十年的诗歌创作历程做了梳理与概括,将其一九八〇年代、一九九〇年代和新世纪三个不同历史阶段的诗歌成果代入特定的时代情境中,具体剖析了其诗歌题材、风格上的复杂选择和微妙变化,找到了小海从现代派的“他们”诗派的主将向亲近历史传统而又能融会中西的“民族诗人”转变的依据。
