思维和语言是相互体现的,语言是思维的物质外壳,思维是语言的思想内容。在具体的英汉互译中,译者必须充分意识到形合和意合在译文中的具体转换,同时还要考虑到思维方式在翻译中所起到的关键作用。本文以刘士聪教授的《汉英英汉美文翻译与鉴赏》中的部分文章为例,具体地论证思维方式在形合和意合转换中的作用和影响,以期为英汉互译提供有效的策略。
Thinking and language reflect each other. Language is the material shell of thinking, and thinking is the content of language. In the specific translation between English and Chinese, the translator must be fully aware of the specific transformations of the form of conjunction and parataxis in the translation. At the same time, he must also consider the key role that the mode of thinking plays in translation. This article takes the articles in Prof. Liu Shicong’s Translation and Appreciation of English, Chinese, English and American as examples to concretely demonstrate the role and influence of the thinking mode in the transformation of parataxis and parataxis, in order to provide an effective strategy for translation between English and Chinese.
