20世纪90年代,中国画廊曾经发展迅速,数量突破万家,但是在昙花一现后,画廊开始以每年上千家的速度锐减。尤其到了2005年之后,随着艺术品市场的起起伏伏,画廊作为艺术品交易的一级市场,其发展也经历了一些曲折。画廊业的成熟,被认为是西方一级艺术市场成熟的关键。随着中国艺术品市场的发展,画廊老板们的身份也在悄悄转换,和艺术家的合作也越来越多元化。横观中国画廊业,我们要问:画廊老板,应该是个什么角儿?
In the 1990s, Chinese galleries were rapidly developing and number exceeded 10,000, but after a short run, galleries began to plummet at an annual rate of a thousand.
