从二十世纪五十年代末开始,二语动机研究大致经历了四个阶段,即社会心理学阶段、认知-情境阶段、过程导向阶段和社会动态阶段。本文首先回顾了这四个阶段的理论发展过程,总结了各个阶段的理论成果及优缺点,而后阐述了二语习得领域一种新的动机研究理论——定向动机流理论(Directed Motivational Currents),以及该理论在教学情境下对教师和学习者的启示。
Starting from the late 1950s, second language motivation research has gone through four stages: social psychology, cognitive-situational, process-oriented and social dynamics. This paper first reviews the theoretical development process of the four stages, summarizes the theoretical achievements and advantages and disadvantages of each stage, and then elaborates a new motivation research theory in the field of second language acquisition - Directed Motivational Currents, , As well as its implications for teachers and learners in teaching situations.
