高压操作可以提高冶炼强度和增加产量,但我们国家由于采用热矿入炉,炉顶设备不过关,高压炉顶发展的速度较慢。近几年通过试验,大钟、小钟、400阀及800阀全可采用碳化钨材质,设备寿命问题基本上解决。随之炉顶压力可以适当提高。本文从发展间接还原,提高煤气利用和炉缸物理热、控制生铁中 Si 还原,以降低焦比等方面,再进一步论述提高炉顶压力的必要性和可行性。
