党对中国妇女运动指导思想的确立，是从马克思主义传入、早期马克思主义者对中国妇女状况的研究和理论探索开始的，大革命时期已经正式确立，苏区明确地提出了发展农妇运动的指导思想，抗日战争和解放战争时期妇女运动指导思想得到进一步发展，其精髓至今对中国妇女运动有着普遍意义。
