本文从社会网络的视角,探讨了企业所处的网络中心性位置和结构洞位置对于其慈善捐赠水平的影响。基于2007—2012年中国沪深两市A股市场所有上市公司为样本的实证分析表明:企业所处的网络位置的中心度与结构洞丰富度对于慈善捐赠水平的影响是非对称的。中心度越高的企业慈善捐赠水平越低,而结构洞越丰富的企业慈善捐赠水平越高。同时,本文还研究了制度环境对上述两种相关关系的调节作用。本文认为,在制度化水平越低的地区,中心度与慈善捐赠水平之间的负向关系更强,而结构洞丰富度与慈善捐赠水平之间的正向关系更强。该研究不仅拓宽了现有的慈善捐赠动机的研究成果,对政府等相关机构制定社会责任管理体系也提供了重要的借鉴意义。
From the perspective of social network, this article explores the influence of the location of the network and the location of the structure hole on the level of charitable donations. Based on the empirical analysis of all the listed companies in the A-share market of China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets in 2007-2012, it shows that the centrality of the network location and the abundance of structural holes have an asymmetric impact on the level of charitable donations. The lower the level of corporate philanthropy, the higher the level of corporate philanthropy donations. In the meantime, this article also studies the regulatory effect of the institutional environment on the above two related relations. This paper argues that in areas where the institutionalization level is lower, there is a stronger negative relationship between the level of centralization and the level of charitable donations, while the positive relationship between the degree of structural hole abundance and the level of charitable donations is stronger. The research not only broadens the existing research results on the motivation of charitable giving, but also provides important reference for the government and other relevant agencies in formulating the social responsibility management system.
