According to the Toronto news: It may take only over a year for an important breakthrough in anti-tumor. This therapy is a combination of a magnetic microsphere drug target system and an effective anticancer drug such as doxorubicin (see “Med Post” 1984;66). Darid Ranney of the University of Texas Health Center in Dallas has said that they believe that combined treatment will be the primary means of anti-cancer progress. The Francis Bit National Magnet Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is designing the ideal instrument. At the same time, the existing NMR was changed to direct magnet microspheres. Ranney and colleagues began development of human albumin magnetic spheres more than six years ago and later conducted experiments in animals. Because of the high toxicity of doxorubicin, it was used intentionally.
