用碳酸氢铵做成的毒瓶,安全有效,简单易行,适用于中小学生采集昆虫标本。氢铵化学性质不稳定,极易分解。NH_4HCO_3→NH_3↑+CO_2↑+H_2O在20℃以上时,氢铵与空气接触,分解速度更快。昆虫吸入氢铵分解产生的氨气,很快中毒麻痹,乃至死亡。毒瓶制做方法如下: 取约50克氢铵放到广口瓶或罐头瓶瓶底、摊平;在氢铵上放0.5—1厘米厚的木屑,稍压实,在上面铺一张扎若干个小孔的纸片。或把与瓶內径相同的圆纸板,扎成数个孔,放入瓶內,与氢铵稍接触即可。毒瓶要用瓶盖盖严。使用时,不要靠近面部打开瓶盖,以免刺激眼睛和鼻粘膜。
