对小白鼠皮下注射吗啡所表现的镇痛作用与其释放肾上腺素引起的升血糖作用剂量之间没有相应关系,因而支持吗啡镇痛作用不可能是通过外周肾上腺素释放的论点。肾上腺素脑内注射的镇痛作用ED_(20)为其皮下注射时的1/75,由此表明肾上腺素的镇痛作用具有中枢性;脑内注射最小有效量肾上腺素能协同皮下注射吗啡的镇痛作用;对吗啡具有耐药性的小白鼠脑内注射肾上腺素亦表现了耐药性,这种交叉耐药性的存在提示两者在中枢作用点上可能有一定关系。
