Elsazal (1966) first pointed out that there are some NNW-SSE blocks or ancient plates in the Egyptian basement from west to east: the western Venetian, the western desert, the eastern desert, the Red Sea and the Sinai- Asian Segments or old plates. They are alternately high and low. The author extends this idea to North Africa until the western Altiac Kwquraton (exposed on the western edge of the Hogar landmass) south to southern Sudan, and the same idea can be extended in this article to the cover of the Euphrates-Tigris Valley in Iraq District, the East bound to Iraq, Iran, Turkey Alpine activities in northeast.
