《周易》是中国古代现存最古老的“奇书”，是最能体现中华民族智慧的文化学著作。现代化是中华民族一百多年梦寐以求、努力奋斗的美好理想。现代化关键是人的素质的现代化。人的思想道德素质是灵魂。美育是以现实美、艺术美作为对人的主观世界进行陶冶、感化、教育的艺术内容，并通过培养既有美的心灵，又懂得美的规律的人来改造和美化客观世界为宗旨的科学。在中国现代化进程中，要运用《周易》的智慧，让中国古代思想为人类当代思想的发展服务，为现代化服务。
“Book of Changes” is the oldest existing “Wonderful Book” in ancient China and is the most influential cultural work of the Chinese nation. Modernization is a beautiful ideal that the Chinese nation dreamed for a long time and worked hard for more than 100 years. The key to modernization is the modernization of human qualities. People’s ideological and moral qualities are the soul. Aesthetic education is a science that aims at transforming and beautifying the objective world by cultivating the beautiful, artistic beauty as the art content of cultivating, probing and educating the people’s subjective world and cultivating the people with both the beautiful mind and the beautiful laws. In the process of China’s modernization, it is necessary to use the wisdom of the Book of Changes to let the ancient Chinese thought serve the development of contemporary human thought and serve the modernization.
