过去,在研制头盔显示器中曾化费了大量的精力,目时是要达到在宽视场内显示高分辨率视频信号.从使用观点着,由于过大的重量,尺寸和许多涉及观察两个差不多的高分辨率图象所引起的有害目视效应,所研制的头盔显示系统完全不能为人接受.在美国空军航空航天医学研究试验室所进行的最新研究,已转向采用挠性纤维光束(FFOB),中继来自头盔外的阴极射线管的字母数字/符号信息,为平视显示提供等效的显示信息.采用这种方法可以减小重量和尺寸,增加亮度和避免头盔高压.利用这种简单的结构;除改善硬件特性外,还可避免一些目视问题.本文将检验这一设计方法的理论和试验室研究的目前结果,以评价挠性纤维光束的密度对头盔平视显示器符号清晰度的影响.
In the past, a great deal of effort has been spent in the development of helmet displays in order to achieve high resolution video signals in a wide field of view. From the point of view of use, due to the excessive weight, size and many involved in the observation of two Nearly high-resolution images caused by the harmful visual effects, the developed helmet display system completely unacceptable.In the United States Air Force Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory conducted the latest research, has turned to the use of flexible fiber beam (FFOB ), Relaying alphanumeric / symbolic information from the cathode ray tube outside the helmet to provide equivalent display information for the head-up display.With this method, the weight and size can be reduced, the brightness can be increased, and the high pressure of the helmet can be avoided. In addition to improving the hardware characteristics, some visual problems can also be avoided.This paper will examine the theory of this design method and the present results from laboratory studies to evaluate the effect of the density of the flexible fiber beam on the helmet-head HUD influences.
