从2002年3月开始,北京市教委启动了“走进学校———北京市中小学素质教育系列展示活动”(以下简称“走进学校”)。活动开展一年多以来,对广大中小学校产生了广泛的影响,起到了“走进一所学校,激活一批典型,推动一方工作”的效果。“走进学校”旨在使一线教育工作者深入走进一批在首都深化教育改革、全面推进素质教育中具有代表性、示范性的特色学校:走近校长———与校长交流用素质教育理念办学的经验,走进课堂、走近教师———体味优秀课堂教学改革前沿的现状,走近学生———采用多种形式与学生交流;了解这些特色学校的先进办学理念、优秀教改成果和丰富多彩的学生生活;将这些先进的教育理念、优秀的教学成果和现代管理经验在更大范围内传播,发挥首都优质教育资源的辐射作用;为基层教育行政部门的领导干部和校长掌握素质教育思想,为学校办学行为和教学行为提供有可操作性的具体指导。
