Nantong Binhai Linhai, is one of the first batch of coastal open cities, a pearl in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. In 1949, at the beginning of the founding of New China, Nantong only had 35 highways and only 459 km of open traffic, 93% of which were dirt roads.
