Based on the lack of research on market issues in the sociology of the past, the book “Structure of the Market” proposed that the sociological research on the market needs a theoretical reconstruction. As a critique of neoclassical economics, the book uses a large amount of empirical research to examine the processes by which American companies and markets have changed since the 1970s.
