我省现有以风力推进的木帆船八万八千八百多吨,占总吨位的52.6%以上,是水运战线一支不可低估的力量。如将这些木帆船全部改为机动船,每年就要增加燃油耗用量二万多吨,增加运输成本八百多万元。现有木帆船每年需要维修用的木材三万五千立方米,桐油二千担,而年计划分配的修船木材还不到需要量的五分之一,桐油一担也不分配,大量的木帆船得不到正常维修,50%以上的船只带病航行,运输任务、航行安全和货运质量难以保证。许多用船单位不得不以高价去购买木材和桐油来修船,
In our province, there are more than 88,800 tons of wooden sailing vessels driven by wind, which account for more than 52.6% of the total tonnage. It is a force that cannot be underestimated on the water transport front. If all these wooden sailing vessels are converted into motorized vessels, the annual fuel consumption will increase by more than 20,000 tons and the transportation cost will increase by more than RMB 8 million. The existing wooden sailboat requires 35,000 cubic meters of timber for maintenance and 2,000 tons of tung oil each year. However, the annual plan for the allocation of ship repair timber is less than one-fifth of the required amount. Tung oil is not distributed. The wooden dinghy is not properly maintained, more than 50% of the vessels are sailing sick, and transportation tasks, navigation safety and freight quality are difficult to guarantee. Many shipbuilding units have to buy timber and tung oil at high prices to repair ships.
