The growth of tumors requires the generation of new blood vessels. Infiltrating endothelial cells also have growth factors that stimulate tumors. Quantitative determination of angiogenesis can be used as an index to predict the prognosis of negative node-negative colon cancers. The authors used immunoperoxidase technology (Am J Clin Pathol 1986; 85: 269) to immunostain 105 cases of Astler Coller B2 colon adenocarcinoma paraffin-embedded by endothelial cell factor VIII related antigens and stained by endothelial cells to make angiogenesis. Grading (grade 1 to 4) and scoring, analysis of clinical data and pathological findings, follow-up for at least 5 years after surgery. Statistical angiogenesis grading is closely related to scoring (AS). Of the 105 patients in the entire group, 57 survived during follow-up and 3 patients
