初轧工艺是钢铁制品生产的咽喉。提高初轧机的技术性能和生产能力,一直是钢铁企业的根本问题之一。本院自动化系与湘潭钢铁厂轧钢分厂、长期密切合作,研制成功了700初轧机主传动可控硅控制系统。从根本上改变了湘钢轧钢生产的面貌。大大改善了轧机的各项技术性能。明显提高了轧机的生产能力。经济效益十分显著。在多年实际运行过程中,不断对系统的动态性能进行了大量理论和计算机仿真研究,使系统运行条件不断优化。上述各项工作,已取得较高的社会评价。
