The use of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) has been widely carried out. There were 40 cases treated in our department from 1988 to 1995, and the analysis was reported below. 1 clinical data 1.1 cases; 40 cases of APL were initially treated, 25 males and 15 females, aged 15 to 62 years old.
