苹果蠹蛾是新疆最严重的仁果类果树蛀果害虫。危害轻者,降低果实品质,危害重者,果品不勘食用。它不仅危害苹果,而且也危害沙果、海棠果、梨。由于该虫的危害,苹果产量可降低60%—70%,经济收入可损失30%左右。长期使用化学农药防治该虫,不但费用大,污染环境,杀伤天敌,而且使害虫产生了抗性。如农一师七团1984年打药10次,虫果率仍达58%。 近年来,国内外应用昆虫性信息素观察昆虫的物候学特性,调查虫口密度,诱杀雄蛾的研究报道较多。中国科学院新疆化学所制出的苹果蠹蛾性信息素经1985年—1986年
