由于列车运行速度提高和重量增加而引起的日益增长的负荷条件下,干线内燃机车稳定且可靠的工作在很大程度上是取决于牵引电动机的状况和工作能力。在内燃机车计划外的修理和运行中的损坏中,有30%左右是与牵引电动机零部件的损坏有关。故障产生原因和提高可靠性的措施牵引电动机的大量故障是由于制造、修理、技术维护或运用方面的严重缺点所造成的。主要的原因如下。
