According to the Journal of Defense Electronics 1998 (7): 15, the “short stop electronic protection system” (SEPS), developed under the Rapid Response Capacity Plan during the Gulf War, is an Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) Aimed at artillery and mortar shells, rocket launchers fired at the target area to be attacked, pre-triggered shells and rockets near-fuze, to protect the lives and safety of personnel and high-value weapons and equipment purposes.
