In sociological literature, the link between social responsibility and risk has not yet been given due attention for analysis. The main sociological risk theory uses the term “responsibility” to refer to individuals and their ethical behavior, or to the behavior of institutions and government (collective responsibility), but they do not examine the involvement of different actors in the formation of a responsible process . Based on this situation, the paper analyzes some of the current limitations of the current relationship between risk and liability in the sociological literature, defining a responsibility based mainly on what Pierpao Donati Based on the sociology of relationship, the responsibility is defined as “related liability ”. This article will link this definition of responsibility to the notion of social risk and outline some of the theoretical aspects that may be derived from this initiative.
