CCL28, also known as mucosae-associated epithelial chemokine (MEC), is a CC family chemokine that was discovered in 2000. CCL28 is unique in its protein sequence due to its gene localization, and its corresponding receptors are CCR3 and CCR10. CCL28 was initially found in mucosal tissues, associated with the secretion of IgA antibodies, and is thought to be involved in mucosal immunity in the body. At present, the research on CCL28 is very limited, mainly focused on its role in the microenvironment of inflammatory tissue, and recently there are also reports in the literature suggesting that it is closely related to the tumor. This article reviews the research progress of chemokine CCL28 in inflammation and tumor.
