《新疆新闻界》(汉文版)从今年起开辟“民族新闻园地”新栏目,旨在促进民族新闻理论和改革的探讨,增进各民族新闻业务的交流,求得多民族新闻事业的共同进步和发展。这对于我区各族新闻工作者互相学习,取长补短,共同进步,无疑是十分必要的,是值得欢迎的一条新的途径。党的十一届三中全会以来,我区少数民族新闻事业发展很快。除了原有的自治区级四种文版的《新疆日报》和四种语言的广播外,自治区电视台也发展到用三种语言,此外各地、州、市、县都有了多种语言文字的报纸、广播和电视台。全疆已有上千名少数民族新闻工作者队伍。
