Innovative ability-based education model, emphasizing a variety of innovative application of comprehensive and detailed expression, learning and training mode of education, the ultimate performance of education for learners to obtain the expected ability of innovative applications. The competency-based education model emphasizes a comprehensive and detailed presentation of all competencies (knowledge + skills), the learning and training model of education, the ultimate manifestation of education, which gives learners the ability to anticipate. The article systematically summarizes the characteristics of CDIO engineering education model and the basic content of competence-based education mode, and further analyzes the innovation ability based on the innovative engineering education mode and competency-based education mode. The education mode based on standard reveals the enlightenment of the educational reform of marine resources development technology specialty .
