美国《灌溉时代》,1979年第三期上介绍了一种时针式喷灌机,名曰《纳尔逊》Nelson高效能的喷灌设备。它采用低喷射仰角的喷头、流量控制器及Pcloo末端喷枪,这些设备共同工作,使喷灌机可以在各种不利的田间作业条件下,高效率的工作。据介绍,新设计的各种低仰角喷头,抗风能力强(图1~2),而且在风的影响下,灌到作物上的水有所增多,试验说明,比普通喷头喷洒的水量,约增加10%。另一种新的双咀喷头,不仅可减少能源的消耗,还可减小水滴直径,更有利于土壤入渗。
