1938年3月27日成立于武汉的“中华全国文艺界抗敌协会”(以下简称“文协”),是在抗战强烈政治化历史氛围中产生的一个成分复杂的文艺组织。这个半官方半民间的文艺组织在艰苦的战争环境中顽强地生存了七年零五个月,~①可以说贯穿了整个八年抗战。它成功地创办了会刊《抗战文艺》,~②鲜明地提出了“文章下乡,文章入伍”的战时文艺口号,广泛团结了不同政治界别的文艺人士,并且通过在广州、成都、昆明、桂林、香港、延安、贵阳、上海等地成立的数十个分会,广泛开展了战时文艺宣传活动,对动员全国军民积极投身抗战及推动新文学发展均产生了重大影响。“文协”的历史地位向来为现代文学史家所关注。唐弢主编的《中国现代文学史简编》认为,“‘文协’的成立标志着文艺界在民族解放的旗帜下,结成了最广泛的统一战线……对推动抗日文艺活动发挥了良好的作用。”~([1](P38)),黄修己所著
