我校的前身是泰州师范。本学期开始,全体师生用自己的双手,把学校从城区搬到农村,从改办到现在,只有三个多月,学校面貌已有了显明的变化。一从一所全日制师范改办为半耕半读的师范,不仅是学校换了招牌,搬了家,最突出的是在改办的过程中,开展了两种教育思想的斗爭,无产阶級教育思想取得了初步胜利。耕读师范是一种新生的事物,初开办的时候,在教职員中必然会产生一些不同程度的模糊认识。如有的认为办耕读师范沒出息,沒前途;有的认为耕读师范不正规,沒办头……学校領导干部针对教职員思想情况,组织大家学习了中央有关指示以及《人民日报》等报刊上发表的有关两种教育制度的文章,要求教师把文件 Our predecessor was Taizhou Normal University.
