一、有关文献简述英国应用语言学家 S.P.Corder 于1967年首次提出了“内在的大纲”(built-in syllab-us)假设,认为外语学习者的语言发展可能遵循一个内在的顺序(Corder,1967)。美国的R.Brown 在其著名的儿童第一语言发展的纵向研究中发现三个儿童受试者习得14个英语词素的顺序基本一致(Brown,1973)。H.C.Dulay 和 M.K.Burt 研究了在自然环境中习得英语的中国儿童和西班牙儿童的语言发展,发现这两组母语不同的儿童习得11个英语词素的顺序基本相同(Dulay & Burt,1974)。同年 N.Bailey、C.Madden 和 S.D.Krashen 考察了在美国正规环境中学习英语的来自12个不同国家的成年人习得8个英语词素的情况,发现其习得顺序非常相近,且这一顺序与 Dulay 和 Burt 的研究中儿童习得这些词素的顺序非常接近(Bailey,Mad-den & Krashen,1974)。后来又有人研究了人们学习其它语言的发展情况,亦发现了类

Brief Description of the Literature The British applied linguist SPCorder first proposed the “built-in syllab-us” hypothesis in 1967 that the language development of foreign language learners may follow an inherent order Corder, 1967). In his famous longitudinal study of children’s first language development, R. Brown of the United States found that the sequence of 14 English morphemes learned from three children’s subjects was basically the same (Brown 1973). H.C.Dulay and M.K. Burt studied the language development of Chinese children and Spanish children who learned English in their natural environment and found that the two mother tongues had substantially the same sequence of 11 English morphemes (Dulay & Burt, 1974). In the same year N. Bailey, C.
