The understanding of primitives in translation is far from simple language comprehension. Language is an integral part of culture, it is subject to cultural influences and constraints. In different cultures, the same words can have different meanings, and different words can have the same meaning. Therefore, in the process of translation, the translator’s correct understanding of a certain paragraph depends largely on his understanding of culture. In translation, neglect of culture will inevitably lead to fallacy, contrary to the standard of “faith, dignity and grace”. However, the research of cultural translation did not attract much attention of linguistic research community as early as the mid-1980s. The result of this phenomenon is not unrelated to the structuralist linguist Saussure.
