We recently proposed a program of marine mineral resources at the Imperial University for two purposes: first, to conduct a basic science survey on the nature, occurrence and causes of marine deposits; and second, to seek ways to develop new technologies for the search and exploitation of such minerals New method of deposit. The plan includes plans for other parts of geology, mineral resource engineering, civil engineering and job development. Although over a century ago the study of the British ship “Challenger” found various kinds of minerals on the sea floor, it was only since the Second World War that some countries became very interested in prospecting for such deposits. The discovery of a large marine deposit of manganese nodules on the sea floor in 1950 at the California Institute of Marine Geography and the discovery of several other deposits inspired more valuable investigations. These should be attributed
