西德Thyssen优质钢厂研制成功的Thyrotherm2799马氏体时效钢(maraging steel),含镍量较低,其性能较同类钢种更好,可代替H11、H13热模钢,它的时效温度为550~625℃,适用于制作锻造,挤压和铝合金压铸模等耐热模具。这种钢出厂时呈固溶退火状态,硬度为HRC32,加工完毕在550℃时效,硬度上升至HRC52,其屈服强度为1830N/mm~2(18300kgf/cm~2),而抗拉极限可达1970N/mm~2(19700kgf/cm~2)。倘在625℃时效,硬度将下降至HRC46,屈服强度降为1400N/mm~2(14000kgf/cm~2),而抗拉极限降为1690N/mm~2(16900kgf/cm~2)。该钢在工作温度650℃时仍有良好的抗热性,时效后的钢材收缩率为0.1%。最常见的马氏体时效钢,其成份为18%Ni;8~
