From February to March 2004, 41 cases of mumps occurred in a central primary school in Dangshan Town, Zoucheng City, Shandong Province. After field epidemiology, serological surveillance and clinical diagnosis, epidemics of mumps were confirmed. The survey results are reported below. From February 24, 2004 to March 11, 2004, 41 mumps patients were found in 525 students from a central primary school in Dangshan Mountain, with an attack rate of 7.81% (41/525).
