[Objective] The aim of this study was to determine the external morphological characteristics of antennae and sensilla of male and female adults. [Method] Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the morphological characteristics, sensory types, morphology and distribution of male and female adult worms by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). And the differences of sex between the female and male wastes were compared. [Result] The antenna type of S. litura belonged to the linear antennae and consisted of pedicel, pedicel and whip. On the antennae are hair sensillas (STⅠ and STⅡ), barbed sensilla, luminal cones (SCOⅠ and SCOⅡ), otoconia, squamous sensilla, pyramidal sensilla, cone Sensor and Bhm’s mane. Among them, only the male and female antennae on the antennae shape differences. The antennal sensors are mainly located on the windward side and the side of the antennal whip, with the largest number of hair-shaped sensors and the thorn-shaped sensors arranged neatly and regularly. Sporadic distribution of phosphorus-shaped sensor, thorn sensor. The peduncle and peduncles are surrounded by scales and distributed with Bhm’s mane sensor. By measuring the sensilla of male and female antennae, it was found that there was a significant difference in the size of most sensory organs between male and female. [Conclusion] The antenna of H. armigera belonged to the linear antennae, and there were 8 types of sensors. In addition to the ear-shaped sensor, the other antenna sensor between the male and female morphological consistent, and male antennae sensor significantly than the female antenna sensor developed.
