1997年9月8日下午3时,东北饺子王酒家站前路分店96名员工集体游行到广州市政府上访,反映店方拖欠工资问题,要求政府出面解决。这是他们的第二次上访。早在8月28日,该分店的100多名员工就到广州市委上访。当时,广州市劳动局就参与了处理这起工人上访案件,但经查实,发现该案件涉及到省属单位,遂要求省劳动厅参与处理。8月29日,省劳动厅就派员参加。经过初步调查,办案人员发现这起劳资纠纷案涉及面广而复杂,加上有关方面持不合作态度,使得案件一拖再拖,迟迟得不到解决。
At 9:00 on September 8, 1997, 96 employees of Wangjiuqianqian Road Branch of Dongbei Dumpling Wang collectively marched to the Guangzhou Municipal Government for their petitions, reflecting the problems of the shopkeepers in arrears of wages and asking the government to come forward for settlement.
