今天是中国人民抗日战争和世界反法西斯战争性利60周年纪念日。这是正义战胜邪恶、光明战胜黑暗、进步战胜反动的伟大胜利,是中国人民和全世界一切爱好和平的国家和人民的盛大节日。在这个庄严时刻,我们向在抗日战争中英勇战斗、为国捐躯的烈士表示深切的怀念,向参加过抗日战争的老战士、爱国人士、抗日将领和所有为抗战胜利建立了功勋的海内外中华儿女表示崇高的敬意,向支援和帮助了中国抗战的外国政府和国际友人表示衷心的谢意,向惨遭日本侵略者杀戮的无辜死难同胞表示深切的哀悼。
Today is the 60th anniversary of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japan and the world anti-fascist war. This is a great victory for the victory of justice over evil, the victory over the darkness of light, and the victory over the reactionary reaction of progress. It is a grand festival for the Chinese people and all peace-loving nations and peoples in the world. At this solemn moment, we express our deep memory to the martyrs who fought bravely for their country in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and conveyed to all the veterans, patriots, anti-Japanese generals and all the Chinese and overseas Chinese who built their meritorious service for the victory of the Anti-Japanese War My sons and daughters express my highest respect and extend my heart-felt thanks to all the foreign governments and international friends who have supported and helped China’s war of resistance against Japan. I express my deepest condolences to the innocent and dead compatriots killed by the Japanese invaders.
