自从Kimmel等1968年在鸡胰腺中分离出鸡胰多肽以来,人们相继从牛、猪,羊、狗以及人等哺乳动物胰腺中分离出胰多肽(Pancrcatic polypcptide,PP),并确定PP是由36个氨基酸残基组成的多肽。其后Mutt实验室又从猪十二指肠提取物中分离出一种与PP结构相类似的36肽,命名为酪酪肽(peptide YY,PYY),所谓PP家族由此开始形成。1982年Tatemoto又从猪脑中分离出一种新的神经肽,命名为神经肽Y(neurcpcptide Y, NPY),它也由
Pancrcatic polypcptide (PP) has been isolated from mammalian pancreas of cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs, and humans since Kimmel et al. (1968) isolated chicken pancreatic peptides from chicken pancreas and determined that PP is composed of 36 Amino acid residues of the composition of the polypeptide. Later, Mutt Lab again isolated from pig duodenal extract a structure similar to PP 36 peptide, named peptide YY (PYY), the so-called PP family began to form.
