1994年7、8月间,黄河中游多沙粗沙区连降大到暴雨,雨洪灾害比较严重,同时产生大量洪水泥沙。无定河流域8月4日~5日降水量150mm左右,最大洪峰流量3200m3/s,排有实测资料以来的第三位洪水;该流域8月份三次较大洪水,其产沙量达1.5亿t,较80年代平均汛期输沙量增加1亿多t。北洛河上游地区8月30日~31日降水量100mm左右,其中点最大雨量214mm,发生了有实测资料以来的最大洪水,产沙量也很大。暴雨后对以上两地区水利水保工程的作用和问题调查表明,当前水利水保工程防洪减灾能力十分脆弱,建议加强领导,增加投入,进一步搞好水利水保工作。
