S-甲基半胱氨酸硫氧化物(SMCS)是从洋葱(Allium cepa)中分离的一种活性成分。文中研究了S-甲基半胱氨酸硫氧化物对四氧嘧啶糖尿病大鼠的抗糖尿病活性。糖尿病大鼠模型是通过皮下注射四氧嘧啶一水化物制备而成,2周后,选择空腹血糖(FBG)浓度为200~250mg/100ml的大鼠,分为4组,每组6只。试验前测定大鼠体重、糖尿的程度和FBG。通过给大鼠口服SMCS,研究单剂量给药(250mg/kg)和长期小剂量给药(200mg/kg)对糖尿病大鼠的作用,并与标准药量的格列本脲和胰岛素进行比较。从大鼠眼静脉收
S-methylcysteine sulfoxide (SMCS) is an active ingredient isolated from onion (Allium cepa). In this paper, the anti-diabetic activity of S-methylcysteine thiosulfate on alloxan-induced diabetic rats was studied. The diabetic rat model was prepared by subcutaneous injection of alloxan monohydrate. After 2 weeks, rats with a fasting blood glucose (FBG) concentration of 200-250 mg/100 ml were selected and divided into 4 groups of 6 mice each. Rat body weight, degree of diabetes, and FBG were measured before the test. The effects of single-dose administration (250 mg/kg) and long-term low-dose administration (200 mg/kg) on diabetic rats were investigated by oral administration of SMCS to rats and compared with standard doses of glibenclamide and insulin.
