众所周知,半个多世纪以来,西方敌对势力对社会主义新中国实行西化、分化的图谋,一刻也没有停止过,可谓全方位、全天候,千方百计,无孔不入。因此,我们的方针很清楚,对于西化、分化的图谋,必须忧患在胸,警钟长鸣,从各个方面一丝不苟地把我们的工作切实做好。工作做好了,人民满意了,就会凝聚成无坚不摧的强大力量。当前,对改革开放三十年的中国历史学进行认真总结,就是史学工作者必须聚精会神地做好的一项重要工作。
It is well known that for half a century or more the hostile forces of the West have never ceased their attempts to westernize and differentiate the socialist New China. It can be described as all-around, all-weather and all-pervading. Therefore, our principle is very clear. We must be optimistic about the Westernization and differentiation. We must be careful about how to carry out our work meticulously in all aspects. Work is done, the people are satisfied, it will gather into a powerful force of invincibility. At present, a careful summary of Chinese history that has been going through 30 years of reform and opening up is an important task for historians to concentrate on.
