学术质量提升已成为当前远程教育研究发展的关键,而研究方法是否应用得当直接关系到研究成果的质量高低。目前国内对远程教育研究方法的分析还较少,主要是从学术渊源或者形成角度进行比较宏观的研究,有必要从更为微观的角度对远程教育研究方法进行分析。西方远程教育研究起步较早,且研究方法很早就进入了科学研究的范畴。其规范的研究步骤以及注重实证的研究取向,值得国内远程教育研究借鉴和学习。对国际公认的四本远程教育研究代表性刊物2007-2013年发表的论文进行调研发现:研究主题、性别、国别等对远程教育研究方法的选择有一定影响;某些研究方法之间存在固有联系。总的来说,当前国际远程教育研究中,定量分析较常使用量表(问卷)以及描述统计分析法;定性分析较常采用访谈和定性分析法;在收集资料的过程中,量表(问卷)是使用最为频繁的工具;在分析资料的方法中,统计分析方法,尤其是比较简单的描述性统计和二元相关等运用较多,聚类分析等高级统计分析方法运用得较少。另外,在展示结果的方法中,表的使用频率较高。研究还发现,目前收集资料的研究方法使用还比较单一,而分析资料的研究方法已经越来越复杂、多元。可以预见,为了更深刻地揭示研究现象,解决研究问题,综合运用定量与定性研究数据,从混合角度分析研究数据的趋势会越来越强,研究方法的使用将更综合化、多元化。

At present, the analysis of distance education research methods in our country is still relatively small, mainly from the perspective of academic origin or formation of comparative macroscopic research, it is necessary to analyze the distance education research methods from a more micro perspective. Western distance education started earlier, and research methods have long been involved in the scope of scientific research. Its normative research steps as well as empirical research orientation, it is worth learning from the domestic distance education and learning. The research on the papers published in 2007-2013, an internationally accepted representative of four distance education research publications, found that the topics of study, gender, country, etc. have some influence on the choice of distance education research methods; some of the research methods have inherent contact. In general, in the current international distance education research, quantitative analysis is more commonly used scale (questionnaire) and description of statistical analysis; qualitative analysis is often used interview and qualitative analysis; in the process of collecting information, the scale (questionnaire ) Is the most frequently used tool. Among the methods of data analysis, the statistical analysis methods, especially the more simple descriptive statistics and binary correlation, are more used, and the advanced statistical analysis methods such as cluster analysis are rarely used. In addition, in the method of displaying the result, the table is frequently used. The study also found that the current research methods for collecting data are still relatively simple to use, and the research methods for analyzing data have become more and more complex and diverse. It can be foreseen that in order to reveal the research phenomenon more deeply, to solve the research problem, and to use the quantitative and qualitative research data together, the trend of analyzing the research data from the mixed point of view will be stronger and stronger, and the research methods will be more integrated and diversified.
