China’s top leadership agreed on the general direction of the nation’s economic policy for 2012 at the annual three-day Central Economic Work Conference, which concluded in Beijing on Dec 14, 2011. They pledged to take a slew of measures to “make progress while maintaining stability” amid the “extremely grim and complicated” global outlook.
